Hotel rooms in Paris are small, — very small. We had a nice one on the corner of rue Jacob and Bonaparte (how French) but it was really cramped so we asked for a bigger one. To our surprise, the answer was yes. (for a small price) “No pleading, no begging, no tears, no lost-in-Europe” act; they said yes. So we moved to a room one floor up on the corner and this was the view from that window. The reason I am including it is that it was from this window, and with this image, that I discovered a passion for nightime photography. More to come soon.
