We were driving along this road in France when I saw this shepherd with his sheep out of the corner of my eye. I stopped suddenly and got out of the car to take a picture of him. He just stood there looking at me, not moving while I snapped away. After taking about 4 or 5 shots of different compositions, I waved to him and he waved back and that was it. But not really>
Usually when travelling about by car, you are surrounded by traffic and when you see something, stopping is all but impossible— especially in Europe. This time was a bit different because we had brought along the vundergizmo of the early 21st century— the GPS. First of all it gets you where you want to go and in Europe that is a major plus. But best of all it can get you where you want to go by taking secondary roads and that is why we were on this little road in the Loire Valley that day. And on secondary roads there is little traffic.
